Finishing School Course is the first product of Co-curriculum and Student Development Centre, Universiti Putra Malaysia to assist in soft skills development within UPM�s final year full-time undergraduate students.
This two-day course is conducted in UPM. Interestingly students will have to dress formally during this course. This course will be guided by selected facilitators. The facilitators are UPM lecturers who have attended the Training of Trainers workshop.
There are 7 topic offered under this Finishing School Course. The topic offered are:

3) Get Youself Connected
4) Dress For Success
5) Expect the Unexpected
6) You're UPM Ambassador
7) You're Hired!
The objective of this course is to help students enhance their final year of preparation before they step into the world of careers. Among the topics highlighted in the course are; resume writing, interview skills, appearance, ethics, communication skills, presentation skills, teamwork skills and leadership skills. It is hoped that through this course, students will get the benefits and may apply the first class human values in life after graduation.
Finishing School Course performed for 2 days at the UPM campus. Total hours for this course are 16 hours. The course was held on Saturday (8 hours) and Sunday (8 hours) from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm, for 2 consecutive days as of the date assigned to the faculty.
The concept of the course is training in the group and student-friendly approach, which is implemented 70% practical and 30% theory courses are included in the activities that require students to discuss, make presentations and be active in class. This course will be conduct in English.
The course registration will be held at Co-curriculum and Student Development Centre customer servis counter. Date and time of registration will be informed from time to time, depending on the course schedule implemented.

STUDENT ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
Each student will be assessed throughout the course in terms of:
1) Participation in course activities.
2) Writing a resume.
3) Self appearance.
Certificate will be issued to students who complete the course successfully for 2 day. Certificates can be claimed from the Co-curriculum and Student Development Centre, UPM.
